About 6 months before my Divorce a young man entered our home, armed with a knife. It was the first time my sense of physical safety had been called into question like that. And, somehow, by the power of something else in me - God, maybe? - I was able to guard my body and my home. While it was traumatizing, the experience also let me know that I am an over comer. I am not a victim. I am a Survivor. Furthermore, I pray for that young man everyday. The pain in his eyes suggested he was under the influence of something much uglier than I could even comprehend at the time. And we don’t hold that in contempt, even as we acknowledge that the behavior as objectively Wrong. Where there is Forgiveness, there is Healing. Thank you for allowing me to share my story. Namaste.
